Life-Safety Situations Come First

Choosing a standard appointment when the situation allows keeps after-hours capacity available for households that genuinely need it, and it usually costs less.

• Cooling that is slightly weaker than usual but keeping the home livable
• A small rattle or a mild noise that has been present for weeks
• One room that has always been warmer than the rest
• A thermostat display issue when the system still cools
• A filter that needs changing

What to Do While You Wait

Protect the household first. Close blinds and curtains on sun-facing windows, run ceiling and box fans to improve air movement, drink water, avoid the oven and dryer, and keep interior doors open. If the home becomes unsafe, relocate temporarily to a cooler location.

Protect the property second. If water is leaking, shut the system off and contain the water. If a breaker has tripped repeatedly, leave it off. If you smell burning, cut power to the equipment at the breaker.
